I have hot water going to this but not coming out. No heat but a/c is working. Do I need to buy this part?Travis T.Apr 07, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Travis, I'm pleased to help you out. If your car is not blowing warm air into the cabin and the coolant level is fine, then you could have an issue with your Heater Core. The Heater Core uses an engine coolant to provide heat. A Heater Valve controls the amount of coolant flowing through the Heater Core. We highly recommend having the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to determine what part needs replacement. I hope this helps. Have a nice day.

Motorcraft part for Lincoln works as advertised OEM part.

Failure mode was failed internal seal that allowed coolant in piston bore. This will happen again. It is a flawed design. When the seal fails, the bore fills with coolant restricting motion of the piston. This results in constant heat, and apparent air conditioner failure. The heater core is not really isolated between right and left so even failure of one piston will kill ac cooling on both sides. Pretty much guaranteed that coolant will inevitably enter the bore; the piston should have incorporated deep ridges to allow it to move even in a coolant saturated bore. So say I. Auto warehouse did their job well. It is Ford that failed.

I love to shop APW for the great prices and great service with timely delivery. Since I have a 2006 Lincoln LS8 I have to shop here constantly. so I need to have the deals and quality parts that APW has to offer. The only issue I have is instalation which has nothing to do with APW or quality of part but of ford and not knowing how to utalize space correctly with out having the owner of the car being forced to take the car in every time.
