Best Answer:Hi, This is a guaranteed fit for a 1997 to 1998 Ford F150, RWD, Standard Cab Pickup, 120.0 inch wheelbase, 4.2, 5.4 and 4.6 liter engines. This will not fit if you have a 4WD drivetrain. Please decode yopur VIN number to see if you have the 120 inch wheelbase length.

Decent tank for price, a lot of extra work to mount the straps on.
Tank overall OK. Problem is the side welded flanges were not bent, positioned to receive the tank straps, ( as the original tank was manufactured ) took a lot of time to re bend the straps, bend some of the side flanges on tank , so that straps could be bolted on and secure the tank. It worries me on the bending of the welded side flanges of the tank, that a weld may have cracked, which will cause a tank leak . The bends made were on the out side of the weld, all appears ok with the welds. I have not filled the tank with gas as of this date. ( put 3 gallons in )
