Best Answer:Hi Gary, This fuel sending unit is (inside the tank) guaranteed to fit the 1986 Chevrolet Corvette Base and Indianapolis 500 Pace Car 8 Cyl 5.7L Engine VIN: F. The fuel pump check valve is located on the pump's inlet and one that is located on the pump's outlet. The check valve is designed to make the fuel in the vehicle only flow in the correct direction from the fuel pump and to maintain pressure.

It was a good fuel pump and i recomend it.
Ot was as it was supposed to be. I actually needed one for a carburator because there is too much pressure and it keeps the needle valve open but that is my fault.
