Product Q&A

I have a 2017 ford taurus Limited 3.5L (VIN # 1fahp2f84hg104684) that my mechanic can not find where the fuel pressure sensor is located. He said he traced the fuel lines from the gas tank to the engine and is not able to find it. Does this car have a fuel pressure sensor and if so where is it located? At times the car does not want to accelerate and it will not show any codes and i have thought this was the problem. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.Bob WNov 23, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Robert, I'm pleased to assist you. Yes, your 2017 Ford Taurus Limited 6 Cyl 3.5L does have a fuel pressure sensor. It is located on the fuel rail, which is the metal bar that runs along the top of the engine and distributes fuel to the injectors. The fuel pressure sensor is usually located near the back of the fuel rail, on the passenger side of the engine. If your mechanic is unable to find the fuel pressure sensor, it is possible that it is hidden by other components in the engine bay. He may need to remove some of these components in order to access the sensor. As for your car not accelerating, it is possible that the fuel pressure sensor is the problem. However, there are other possible causes as well, such as a problem with the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel injectors. It is also possible that the fuel pressure sensor is defective. If this is the case, it will need to be replaced. You can go ahead and use the link below to directly place your order. Take advantage of our low price and limited stocks. Oe Solutions Series Fuel Pressure Sensor
Easy ordering and fast shipping
Ordering from Carparts.com was the easy part. Smooth shopping and checkout process and lightning fast delivery. Getting to this damned part on the car was another story! But, blame Ford for that. Once I got it installed the low side fuel pressure sensor did the trick. DTC cleared and didn't come back.
