Does What It Should
Overall, this was a pretty good experience. The fender looks great, and it'll do fine to replace my dinged-up one (after some paint, of course). It's not an OEM FoMoCo piece, but no one will care about that on a commuter car. I shopped around for a fender for a while; originally, I wanted to go with RockAuto, but they had some certification issues that prevented them from sending a raw fender to CA. CarParts didn't have that problem, although it was slightly more money than RockAuto was asking. Then came time to ship it; obviously, CarParts sends items via a shipping company, who is SUPPOSED to ship them to the customer (me) in good condition. Unfortunately, my fender was just about folded in half by the time it made it to my door. Obviously CarParts isn't to blame for this, but it's something buyers should be aware could happen. The great news is, when I reached out to <a href="http://CarParts.com" target="_blank">CarParts.com</a>'s customer service department, they worked with me and shipped me a brand new fender at no extra cost to me. This time the fender showed up in perfect condition, and it's at a paint shop getting painted right now. Thanks CarParts; I'll definitely visit again for other parts.
