Good morning, do I have to buy a set of new keys also a new key ignition switch with an alternator same time I replace the EMC? I’ve heard of different methods? I just wanna make sure I’m correctly informed? Also do I just “plug n play”? Or do I have to take the EMC to the Honda dealership to get programmed? Also can I use my same keys that i currently have ( I only have one with chip the other is a normal door spare) and just have them reprogrammed to the new EMC or? Please helpDaddy-OhMay 20, 2024

Best Answer:Hi, Yes. All ECM units must be flashed on, programming must be performed AFTER installation to prevent drivability issues. You can have it flashed ON through the dealership or A1 Cardone themselves. A1 Cardone would come with instructions to have it shipped back to them and back to you after flashing.
