Code P0405: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit Low
Code P0405: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit LowAs its name implies, the EGR position sensor detects the position of the EGR valve. The powertrain control module (PCM) uses the sensor signal to monitor and adjust EGR valve operation. If the signal from the sensor appears strangely low, the PCM may set a P0405 code.
P0406 Code: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High
P0406 Code: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit HighThe check engine code P0406 is triggered when the signal being sent back by the EGR position sensor to the PCM is higher than the specified range. The check engine light will activate as the PCM sets this code.
P0400 Code: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Malfunction
P0400 Code: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow MalfunctionThe heart of the EGR system is the EGR valve, which redirects a portion of the exhaust gas into the engine intake manifold to be integrated into the air/fuel mixture. This reduces cylinder temperature and the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx). If it malfunctions, your car may fail an emission
