As of our DIY information we have on our catalog;
Plastic door sill protectors
There are door sill protectors in the form of a plastic film. This type is very easy to install. You just cut the right size from the roll of plastic film and then stick it on your door sill. Only trouble is the bubbles that might form, so you'd have to smoothen it carefully to achieve that sleek look.
There are also door sill protectors made from molded-in, PVC plastic. Compared to the plastic film door sill protector, this one looks more durable and reliable. Installing it is easy, too. And you won't have worries about bubbles or an uneven finish.

There is a 3M Auto Adhesive tape at the back of the sill for attachment.

Answered by Grace G. / Wed, Dec 23They have adhesion strips on the back that I found didn't hold very well so I purchased some Philips screws at Lowes pained them black placed the sill protector in place drilled a hole in cented of the protector and the truck or car and screwed the first screw in, then do the same on each end of the protector and your done. I really like the way they fit and look. Oh one more thing I had to cut about 1 inch off one end to make them fit nice

Answered by jim-bob G. / Thu, Dec 24These are held in place with 3M Auto Adhesive Tape that holds very strong. Before installation I used a white grease pensile to mark length. Trimmed sill protector to size, then did a dry fit. Clean sill with supplied alcohol pad. Peel a short section of tape cover off and let about 2 inches of cover out. Aligned protector in place and remove tape protector at little at a time. When you have the tape protector removed press down on sill protector and it will not come off.

Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Dec 14This is not an OEM sill plate replacement. It is a universal fit product that will need to be trimmed to your specific application. I used it to cover scratches in a car without a sill plate.
