does this actuator also open the hatch door?dwracing38Jul 23, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Sue, I'm glad to assist you. No. It is for the front driver-side door only. For us to check carefully and be accurate on the part you need, please provide the complete details of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). The VIN would be much helpful.

Hi. My 2004 Deville's driver door lock actuator isn't working so that my interior lights remain in while the car is on. Once I turn it off, after the last time, they go off. My issue is that this actuator doesn't look like what I have in my car right now... How can that be?Larona M.Oct 05, 2020
Best Answer:Hi Larona, This part is the actuator motor only that is why it looks different from a complete door lock actuator assembly.

Door Lock Actuator Motor
Re-engineering needed
I purchased one of these, had it installed by a certified shop and all was fine for about 8 months. Then it started making a long loud clicking noise every time I locked the door. I got a warrantied replacement (which obviously doesn't cover installation costs) had installed and it only worked for 5 weeks before the same issue developed. I'm now about 1 month into the 3rd unit. When/if this one fails I'll do what I should've done from the onset, use OEM parts from GM.

Door Lock Actuator Motor
1 out of 2 failed
I purchased 2 of these lock actuators. One was not the same as in the suburban and one piece needed to be bulit. 1 lock actuator is OK but the second one has failed already after about 2 weeks after install. The box came with no installation instructions. so i double checked my work, nothing wrong with installation. the motor seems to have stripped some plastic gears and makes a grinding noise when locking. Unlocking appears OK. There is no paper work included in packaging so I am not sure where to return the product, or what the guarentee is.
