Q:My 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 is a van and has a 5.2L engine 8 cyl.  Is this still the correct distributor?  My shop book says the Camshaft Position Sensor in located inside the distributor.  Does this one have the Camshaft Position Sensor inside?  The date of manufacture on the door of the van is 8/1996.  Would that make a difference? Show Less

Fortunately, you can purchase high-quality replacement parts and accessories here at CarParts.com to get your Dodge B250 back in great shape.

Dodge B250: Commonly Replaced Parts

The Dodge B250 has a long list of common issues. A misaligned distributor, a worn-out oil pump drive gear, and unsynchronized cam and crankshaft position sensors are common problems for the Dodge B250. These faulty components can lead to surging or bucking upon acceleration. Other commonly replaced parts include the blower motor, spark plug wires, and idle air control motor. If you’ve experienced any of these problems with your Dodge B250, you’re not alone.

You should also watch out for leaks in your Dodge B250. Some owners have reported oil leaking out of their Dodge B250’s oil filter adapter or o-ring seal. Apart from oil leaks, the Dodge B250 can also develop problems with its suspension parts. Worn-out rear suspension springs can produce loud squeaking or clicking noises while you’re driving.
