Nice item. Exact fit for 2018 Ford Fiesta. Fixed the "no start" issue and costs one third the price of the OEM Ford part.

Question: if the ignition switch fails to contact does the whole starter unit has to be replace or just the ignition switch?Manny / Mar 09, 2021 / 2006 Ford FocusIgnition Switch
Hi Manuel, Normally, just the switch is the main issue but, you also need to check the starters and ignition coils.

Just the switch, which is a very small price to pay to resolve a big issue. So start small first.

Replace the switch first, then check other parts if a problem exists. If the switch failed,it should be all you have to replace.

Just the switch. However this doesn't mean your starter isn't bad too. If the ignition switch fails to contact, start there.

Question: Does it come with a key I need new key as well?Ricky L. / Apr 09, 2022 / 2006 Ford FocusIgnition Switch
Hi Ricky, I'm happy to assist you. This item doesn't include the key. It's usually the ignition lock cylinder that comes with the keys. You can use this link to go back to the item page and continue the order: https://www.carparts.com/ignition-switch/replacement/repf506205?can=CPAP3648_20220409 I hope this helps. The ignition switch goes in the steering column. So no it doesn’t come with a key that’s a separate switch.

Question: I saw a video where the instructor stated that on a 2011 Ford Escape if switch failed to make contact the piece (housing) had to be replace ?A Shopper / Mar 09, 2021 / 2006 Ford FocusIgnition Switch
Hi, This part is guaranteed to fit the 2011 Ford Escape Turbocharged, GAS. A lot of what your car does is tied directly into that ignition switch, so if it is not working, then much of your car will be inoperable and it is highly recommended to be replaced with a new one.

Examine the old switch for fit to the lock cylinder. If there is no visible/obvious damage to the switch or lock cylinder, switch replacement is sufficient.
