The StrongArm lift support is made from a chromium-plated hardened steel rod and glossy finish heavy gauge steel body. It is designed with self-cleaning orifice that keeps the piston area free of contaminants, reduces clogging and prevents lock up.

Trunk Lid Lift Support
more expensive arm - about the same
i bought the smaller one for our aging volvo wagon and it lasted about 2 years. the rear lid would fall down, hard to load things in. So i replaced with this model which is a bit more expensive. It's about the same. Barely holds the door up but it works (as its new). My hope is that this will last longer than 2 years. It's probably a little better quality than the smaller one i bought - same mfg
