Almost two months to the day after installing this strut I found it not just leaking oil but oil gushing out of it. I'm a factory trained technician and used factory procedures and tools to install it at my dealership. The only mistake I made was going against my gut and trying an aftermarket part. I took a gamble and lost. It's no big deal for me for me to compress a spring and replace the strut, but I feel sorry for someone who has to try to do this in their driveway on a weekend without special tools and a hydraulic spring compressor. Maybe I just got a bad part but I won't be reinstalling a Monroe part in my car again.
