What does the strut boot do? And is it necessary to replaceRuben R.Jan 13, 2024
Best Answer:Hi Ruben, thank you for reaching out. The strut boot is a protective cover designed to protect the strut shaft and piston rod from dirt, debris, and contaminants that can cause damage to the internal components of the strut assembly. It is necessary to replace when damaged to prolong the lifespan of the strut assembly. You can use this link to continue ordering this part at a discounted price today: https://www.carparts.com/shock-and-strut-boot/kyb/kysb111?can=CPAP3648_CSQA_20240113 I hope this helps. Enjoy shopping.

My 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L, bottoms out when I am coming out of some driveways. I do have a hitch on it, but even so, why would it bottom out?Hector M.Jul 16, 2021
Best Answer:Hello! Does it have an aftermarket tow hitch? It's not uncommon to drag a tow hitch on steep driveways, and you may have to exit the driveway at an angle to prevent bottoming out.
