Best Answer:Hi John, They made halogen and HID headlights for the 2005 Volkswagen Touareg Base 6 Cyl 3.2L. Halogen lights consist of a tungsten filament and halogen gas. The gas heats up and illuminates the bulb. With HID lights, electrodes charge the xenon gas inside the bulb to create illumination. Normally, HID has an igniter or ballast behind the housing.

Upon checking, we do not carry direct-fit HID/Xenon headlights for the selected vehicle application.
