I purchased both rear door actuators for my Volkswagen Jetta TDI  installed the driver side and works perfectly. Installed passenger side and everything seemed to work perfectly than I shut the door which was a mistake I guess cause now it won’t open from outside or inside.  Any idea what I can do to get the door open ?  ThanksJames H.May 09, 2021
Best Answer:Hi James, I'm glad to assist you. There is a possibility a steel rod connected to the exterior door handle at the back portion is not connected to the door lock/latch actuator assembly. No rods in this Volkswagon it’s all cable and everything worked before I replaced the actuator. I replaced due to locking the car the horn wouldn’t sound and one door wouldn’t lock  Thanks   How to get the door open???James H.May 09, 2021
