I am looking for this part for a 2002 Beetle 1.9 TDI Automatic, The part fitment indicator says it does not fit. I have seen that it looks like this part # replaces mine which is 1J082537AH, is that correct and will this really fit my Beetle?Marc H.Oct 09, 2022
Best Answer:Hi Marc, I'm glad to assist you. No. It is not compatible. We do not carry the front center engine splash shield for the 1.9L TDI 2002 VW Beetle. What we have is a pair of splash shields for the left and right only, with part number SET-REPV310129. After some back and forth figuring out that this part does indeed fit my 2002 Beetle TDI, I got the part fast, the quality seems good, keeping in mind this is a splash guard NOT a skid plate, it looks like it will do the job nicely. Does fit 2002 VW beetle
Purchased this for my 2002 vw beetle, Even though the fitment said it would not fit i read the reviews where it does fit. Ordered it and the holes lined up but it was just a hair to long after redrilling the 4 front screw holes to tighten it up a little it fits great. Its made in china so its not super heavy duty but it does the job and it will fit a 2002 vw diesel beetle even though the fitment said it does not. The only real gripe i have is the shipping cost almost as much as the item.
