Does this contain the micro switch that communicates with alarm, door locks, etc? We have an intermittent issue with our 2001 Beetle. The alarm goes off randomly when the car is locked. It is fine if it isn’t locked. Mechanic said it needed a new micro switch but quoted $420 to fix. I can handle installing this if it’s the right part.Wesley (wes) T.Oct 26, 2020

It is possible that chip is on the main door switch(front driver side switch) of your vehicle not on the door lock actuator.
