My new Beetle experienced a jerk then engine stalled and engine light was on. Scanned and said it’s P0322 code which indicated Engine Speed Sensor was bad. Bought this one and replaced it. Been driving it about one month and no issues. The reason I gave a four star is it doesn’t come with the plastic protector so I used the old one.
Note: whoever wants work on replacing the sensor should be careful not to round the 1/4” bolt. A T27 might be helpful as well in this case.

I was very pleased with the turnaround time on the crankshaft position sensor for my 2008 Beetle that I ordered from CarParts. That, and that the part was exactly the same dimensions as the oem and solved the issue! I would give 5 stars but the next part I just ordered (an idle control valve for a '98 Acura) did not arrive on 2/20/24 as promised but will be here on 2/26/24.
