Best Answer:Hi Marie, thanks for initiating contact. Based on our application guide, this is only for the 4 Cyl 1.8L. For the 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, there is only a 4 Cyl 1.8L and a 6 Cyl 2.8L. There is no 6-cylinder 1.8L. You have to determine if you have 4 or 6 cylinders. When you lift the hood, do you know how to count the cylinders? part leaked
I got the part and installed it. It did not fit properly into the 2003 Jetta with 1.8 Liter engine because it was to small for the bracket in the car. It worked fine but leaked a bit so I had to replace it with one I got from VW. It was delivered on time which I was happy about but since it leaked and did not fit I was not happy with it at all. I will be more careful next time when ordering parts and make sure they are exactly what I need not just what the website says I need.
