This is considering you have correctly selected your vehicle application(year, make, model, submodel and engine size) and looked up a hitch and got a guaranteed fit badge notification((in round green icon with a white check mark), but still, cannot install it. You can have it returned if it really does not work after confirming with Curt technical team.

My Tacoma has towing package which apparently has bumper attached to hitch which is attached to frame. Couldn’t use this without replacing bumper. Instead of sending back, the bumper was in sorry enough shape to be replaced
