Best Answer:Hi, The Certified Automotive Parts Association(CAPA) is a non-profit organization that certifies the quality of automotive parts used for collision repairs. CAPA oversees a testing and inspection program that certifies the quality of automotive parts used for collision repairs. CAPA ensures that parts meet quality standards for fit, component materials, and corrosion resistance. However, for the non CAPA, keep in mind that being non-CAPA certified doesn't necessarily mean lower quality. In many cases the parts are just as good but the manufacturer chooses not to pursue CAPA certification in order to cut costs. The headlight is sealed to prevent moisture and condensation that makes the lens foggy from the inside. Also,the headlight lens is made up of polycarbonate plastic that is more flexible and does not easily break. If the car is always parked indoors it would prevent the lens from turning yellowish over time. Because the sun and rain exposure would wore out the lens over some length of time. If you want to convert it to HID, you need to buy a headlight conversion kit from halogen to HID since the bulb type, wiring harness and bulb mounting is designed differently.
