Best Answer:Hi, MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensors are located between the air filter and the throttle body and are responsible for measuring the amount of air entering the engine.

The mass air flow sensor did not fix the problem, it's causing a "too rich" problem, too much air and fuel now get into the engine. Hence the old problem still exists after spening $150.00.
