My 2005 4Runner does not have the airbag square/hole on the dash that’s come with this overlay. I’m not sure if I’m just confused or if there’s a coverlay without the hole?Shane C.Nov 23, 2023

Great dash cover but not perfect!

Best on the market for fixing up your old dash and much easier and cheaper than replacing your dash. That being said it does have some flaws. First drawback the video that shows installation for my 2005 4runner shows the airbag cover being put on after the main dash piece is installed. However they must have updated the model as now the airbag cover should be placed on the dash first then the main part of the dash cover goes on second. I followed the instructions on the video but the airbag cover wouldn’t fit so I had to pull the dash cover off after I had already glued it down… thankfully the glue hadn’t set yet but it was a pain to get everything in place and then set back in place… I’m slightly concerned how the glue will hold up because of that. If I had done a better job pre fitting everything I would have noticed the airbag cover would not go in over top of the dash cover. One othe small flaw is that the airbag cover comes with 3m tape pre attached to the back, you peel the tape cover off and set it in place… all of that is fine but on the top of the airbag cover you do see where the tape lines are below… it takes away slightly from how clean the rest of the dash looks, and doesn’t look quite as factory fresh as the rest of the dash cover does. Lastly you’ll notice the air vent is not covered on the passenger side. It’s probably more noticeable because of the difference in color. It would be nice if they sold a separate piece to cover the air vent as it would make everything feel a little more like the dash was made that way from the factory. All that said, it’s the best option on the market and I’m happy enough with the deal I got.
