I put this on a 2002 impreza rs and it fit just fine but the stock heat shielding from the original unit does not fit without some "massaging" with a hammer. Might be worth noting that this does not come with OEM equivalent heat shielding.

Great fit easy install
Like I said, this bolted right up. I had hoped that with my sheet metal experience that I could modify the factory heat shield to fit...not happening! Don't waste your time. Other than that I love it. Installed my O2 sensors, life is great.

Installed on my 2000 forester S model, hardest part is getting the old one off, used dremel and angle grinders, takes quite a while but worth it, as the car has 130k miles and the dealership wants over $2000 for the parts and labor. Gets it through the inspections and keeps it on the road. Used the same eastern catalytic brand with my 1999 subaru legacy sedan , which helped me keep it on the road for over 320k miles before retiring it.
