The clips on the part this attaches too, also seemed to be snapped off. So now I'm unsure if this part will still be able to fit as a replacement? Can I just buy the clips somewhere still, or do I need to replace even more since that 18 year old plastic busted?RJClarkeMar 18, 2024

Please provide the complete details of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, 2WD/4WD, and engine size). Please check your truck's owner's manual for the other features of the mirror (powered, with puddle light or not, with signal light on the housing or not, etc.). I ordered this part and it came with no hardware to install it and I was told by a guy named Jacob L on here I believe that the part just “clicks” in. But the part does not click in. Can I please get a detailed instruction on how to install this part because the help I’ve been given is not proper nor has it helped at all?Marshall C.Dec 01, 2021

Best Answer:It’s held in with clips, but it takes more force to get on and off than it feels like it should. You can pry it out with a screwdriver, you’ll likely break the clip off the old mirror in the process, but it’s probably broken already. If it helps to visualize the mechanism, you can point the mirror all the way down and shine a flashlight inside the gap at the top, so you can see where it attaches.
