The elements can still get inside the assembly if the lenses are broken. We suggest you replace the tail light assembly instead. Tail Light Cover - Smoke, Acrylic, Black-Outs, Set Of 2
Un-Stickey situation, could use a better adhesive mounting platform! It is not worth the $99.62
My RR tail light was broken and missing approx. 2"x3" of the lens on the upper portion. I purchased the Smoke, Acrylic, Blackout set (2/22) and received them (2/24) :) I immediately Installed them the afternoon of the 24th as per instructions. I noticed that the LR tail light was missing mid-day on Mon (2/28) :( I was happy with the product and was concerned at the same time of this happening, hopefully no one was injured by flying debris. I have to wonder if this has happened to anyone else. For the time being, I do have water protection for the cracked RR until I can figure out what to do next.
