Gm Original Equipment Series Turn Signal Switch

GM cost for parts and labor= $560 part & $250 labor total would have been $810.00 plus tax!! At age 54yrs and messing with car repairs as a do it your selfer I found that the ordering,shipping and e-mail updates during the shipping process were fantastic.The quality of this ac part is every ounce a GM clone.Flawless!! Simply remove neg.battery cable,tilt up steering wheel,remove lower covers outer and inner steering column support(4 nuts and 4 screws) drop column and remove upper and lower steering wheel covers(2-3 torx screws)unhook back cover ends and remove.Cut wiring ties carefully and loosen a 7mm nut on wiring harness hook ups.Remove 2 torx screws from multiswitch and install new switch.Make sure to set the bottom outer edge of switch and start screw,then install top screw and tighten both securely.(this seats the turn signal tab against cam of steering wheel.)You will not have to remove the steering wheel on the 2002 model GT.The lower front torx screw can be gotten out by using the small torx tip only holding it with a long needle nose into the screw and breaking it loose with a 1/4" open end wrench.Then a small allen wrench(L-shaped) will fit enough to back out the screw.Just reverse the procedure when you install.Total job time at 54 yrs. of age and crawling on my knees took 2.5 hrs.Next time would only take me 2hrs.Total cost was $235 for the part.I called in the order instead of online ordering and the salesman gave me $30.00 off. Fantastic service,ordering,follow ups and parts.
