Second person is suggested to hold the door while doing the install. I made the mistake of using only a floor jack to hold the door and paid for it with dings and scratches when the door fell off of the jack. Regardless of the condition of the other door pin, buy 2 and replace both of them. You will need to remove both pins anyway. I wish they came as a set and not as a single item.
