Customer Reviews

Previous strut nut had come loose, fell off and wore out the strut support and half way through the shock shaft. Replaced the strut and strut mount and problem solved. There is a trick in tightening the self locking nut on the top. Without the special concentric tool to hold the shaft while tightening the nut, I used a piece of slit 1/2" hose around the upper part of the shock (through the spring) and a vise grip pliers to hold it while tightening it. The hose protects the shaft from dents and damage which would cause the shock to leak and fail. Just be moderate on how tight you grab the shaft, (not to go through the hose). I also used grease on the treads to help the nut with the nylon insert turn down easier.
