How can I move the car? It is parked behind my other vehicles ? It is stuck in park. 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally with 80thousand miles. It starts all electrical worksRuben R.Apr 04, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Ruben, thank you for reaching out. You can try to manually override the shift interlock system by inserting a key or small screwdriver into the shift lock release slot located on the gear shift assembly and then pressing the brake pedal to move the shift lever out of Park. If that doesn't work, we highly suggest that a certified mechanic diagnose the vehicle to pinpoint the cause of the issue and the part that needs replacement. Have a nice day.

What is the duty of this part in the transmission?A shopperJan 26, 2021
Best Answer:Hi, As per checking, The neutral safety switch is a safety device that only allows you to start your engine when the automatic transmission is in either Park or Neutral. The purpose of the neutral safety switch is to prevent the car from starting while in gear, which would cause it to launch forward unexpectedly.
