I ordered 2 of these, one for each side of the lift door.
They are very strong, and I ended up only replacing one for now, as the lift up was very quick - like a spring!
The pulling the door back down was too tough with replacing both, so like I said, I only replaced one for now.
Since it was only $25 each, I decided to keep the 2nd lift support for the future when needed.
It was very quick and easy to replace these - probably faster and easier than changing the Mercede's headlight bulbs!

I replaced both lifters on my Mercedes ML320. Previously the hatch would not stay open. Now the hatch can knock you out it opens with such force. Had to only replace one of the lifters and leavein one of the old shot lifters. Now has right amount of openng force.
