Reman Series Window Motor, Remanufactured
Miata window motors: Good but some splicing needed
If you're looking to save a few bucks on Miata window motors, this is a good way to go--with some caveats. The motors themselves came well-presented and boxed, and worked powerfully once installed. That's the good part. The bad: We had to splice in the old connectors onto the new motors--something you shouldn't have to do with a quality rebuilt part, even if the same motor powers several applications. More insidiously, the rebuilds didn't include the ties that snug the harness securely to the motor so it DOESN'T snag on the window as it does its usual elevator ride. Be very, very sure to use wire ties to do this yourself, following how it was done on the old motors you remove. Finding this little snag after the window jammed took a good half hour of fishing around. Advice to the seller: Up the quality overall by making sure the rebuilders pre-attach connectors AND securely snug the motor harnesses to the motors themselves.
