Customer Reviews

Front, Driver Side Axle Assembly
The simplest steps are the most difficult
Removing the old half shaft was easier than I thought it would be. The first step in installing the new part is something to the effect of " insert the spline of the drive shaft into the transaxle, ensuring that the retaining ring clicks into place." It would not go in. I spent four hours trying to insert it before giving up for the day. The retaining ring was too loose of a fit and sat proud of the shaft. It would not slip into the transaxle. With the retaining ring removed the shaft slid in easily. I removed the retaining ring and tried a number of times to decrease it's circumference by squeezing it in a vise, but slipping it over the end of the spline once again stretched it out and it refused to go in. Finally it worked and slid in as it was supposed to. The rest of the installation was easy.
