Washer Reservoir, With Pump
2005 Ford Expedition Windshield Washer Fluid Tank Replacement
After 15 years of being a fantastically bulletproof truck, my Expedition's windshield washer pump finally bit the dust. Upon reviewing parts on CarParts.com, I decided against buying just the pump itself ($10), and instead bought a new washer fluid reservoir ($25, which has the pump attached.) Had I bought the pump only, it would have required just as much labor on my part to get the old one removed, and the new one installed onto the old fluid tank. Installation was relatively straight-forward, requiring me to remove the truck's battery, and battery box in order to give enough clearance to remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir. Being an OEM replacement, the electrical fittings for the electric pump, as well as the "low fluid" sensor were direct plug-&-play. I'd guess with today's shop rates, I saved $100-150 by doing this (very easy) job myself.
