The throttle position sensor is different from the new manufacture ones. Where can I find the same one that’s will fit on my 2008 Ford explore 4.0?A shopperFeb 11, 2021
Best Answer:Hi, As per checking, I came up with the factory original part by Motorcraft for your given vehicle application. The part number is MIDY1164. Based on the 3 images Motorcraft shows, the GPD brand is correct. But if you need the throttle body assembly, that looks different compared to the sensor only since the throttle body assembly comes with the throttle position sensor built in already. Please click the links below to see it. https://www.carparts.com/throttle-position-sensor/motorcraft/midy1164?&vehicle[cylinders]=6&vehicle[liter]=4%2E0&vehicle[submodel]=XLT&vehicle[model]=Explorer&vehicle[make]=Ford&vehicle[year]=2008 https://www.carparts.com/search?q=throttle_body&vehicle[cylinders]=6&vehicle[liter]=4%2E0&vehicle[submodel]=XLT&vehicle[model]=Explorer&vehicle[make]=Ford&vehicle[year]=2008

I changed my Throttle Body on my 2006 Lincoln Navigator. It keeps showing code "p2106" on my OBD, which is my Sensor, that's connected to the Throttle Body. Do I need to change the Sensor that came with it? If so, do I take it to a mechanic to do it?AnthonyDec 17, 2020
Best Answer:Hi Anthony, Yes, you can have the sensor changed first, and I suggest having the mechanic do it.

Customer Reviews

Since purchasing an older model vehicle, Carparts have been a necessity. I've needed them from suspension work to under the hood work. Neither time have they let me down. It's just been an overall good experience, and I recommend them to anyone, consequently.
