As per checking, this is a guaranteed fit for your 2006 Lexus GS300 Base 6 Cyl 3.0L. Adaptive suspension is using sensors on the strut/shock absorber to detect the load/weight and road type the car is going thru so it can automatically adjusts the strut or shock absorber to the proper height and stiffness, softness and maintain a comfortable ride all through out the trip. It is specifically with electronic sensor on the strut or shock absorber.
