Unfold as soon as you get it and in daylight for best results
Ok. So watch the video on how to unfold. That saved me. I didn’t need a heat gun at all and it unfolded just fine in Pullman, Washington during a cloudy spring day. The key seemed to be putting it outside during the day and letting it unfold just like the video showed. If you have to install this for someone, tell them that it takes up to 8 hours to unfold because it has to sit ih the sun. Mine unfolded in 6 hours. We left it in the unfolded position though for additional time over night, but it looked like it could have been installed after about 6 hours. Don’t use a heat gun on it. Use the sun even on a cloudy day. It will unfold additionally in the daylight, so if you rely on a heat gun, it could warp. If it was here right now, I would take a picture. Our Kia looks great.
