The resistance could be in the connectors, grounds, or harness. A resistor or insulator prevents the flow of electricity in a circuit. Resistance can be caused by corrosion, fretting, and even air.

Fuel Pump Electric With Fuel Sending Unit
Looks like a good unit ,,
Upon receiving the unit ,,fuel pump & sending unit , I was impressed that they went the extra mile and soidered the electrical connections instead of just depending on the push on connectors. Unit looks and preforms as the original . My only concern is the noise created by the pump. The new unit makes much more noise than ,the stock unit with 133k miles operation on it. Doesn't bother me much in town ,,, but when in the back country ,it does give me cause for reflection. I'm already hearing the "I told you so's" from some of my friends who recommended paying the exzuberant price for OEM parts. Only time will tell. The noise is the only reason I didn't give this item 5 stars throughout.
