Customer Reviews

So far so good, fits perfectly well.I couldn't find this part in my country so I ordered it through Autoparts WH. Arrived on time and I have it working on my '96 Laredo. It doesn't look like the original in terms of quality, but I would recommend it.

Purchased all components of the power steering assembly including the Dorman reservoir for my '96 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Found it difficult to attach the reservoir to the pump. The O ring seal at the connection of the reservoir to the pump was not effective. Removed and re-installed the pump to the reservoir several times. Finally used epoxy sealant to stop the leak.

Bought one of these units thru Advance Auto in my home town. Installed fairly well. After installing started the bleeding process of the steering pump and system. The unit leaks profusely at the O-ring that connects it to the steering pump. Also, the cap that came with it leaked very bad as well. Luckily I still had the cap from the old reservoir on hand and installed it, which cured the cap leak, so the one that comes with it is defective/doesn't fit the unit well that it came with. Now I have to drain the entire system, remove and take it back for replacement. Still trying to figure how to address the O-ring issues as I imagine the replacement unit will be of the same quality. Last item, the nipple for the return line is not in the same location as stock, placing it directly against the exhaust manifold, which I have to assume will result in issues with line deterioration in the near future due to direct contact/excess heat exposure.
