Does the compressor come with pag oil in it?John W.Jun 28, 2021
Best Answer:Hi John, I'm glad to help you out. This AC compressor is pre-oiled from the factory to protect the compressor during its stay on the dealers’ shelves and in the course of transport. The manufacturers still recommend that you drain the shipping oil and refill it with proper oil before installation. I hope this helps. The A/C Compressor has perform well. I'm well satisfied with the product and would recommend the product to others. however, the first A/C didn't perform as well. which had to be replaced shortly after being installed.

Very satisfied with the outcome of the installation, the unit is well built to oem specs and works perfectly! Now my daughter complains it to cold 😂
The compressor got to my porch a couple of days before my weekend which gave me time to get the other parts I needed, exact match to the oe I was replacing. Got it installed just in time for the heat wave in the pnw. Thanks carparts 😅

4-Seasons Oe Replacement A/C Compressor, With Clutch 6-Groove Pulley
Seems to be a good product, easy to install
I installed this compressor on my 97 Wrangler. There is only 5 bolts to worry about. Have metric sockets. The hardest part for me was finding the tensioner for the serpentine belt. Once the belt was off, I un-bolted the 5 bolts, removed the old one, and replaced the new one. After I recharded the system with a whole can of refridgerant, it still wouldn't blow cold air, and the compressor was "short cycling". It would kick on for 2-3 seconds then off for a while, then repeat. In doing some research I found that was occuring because there wasn't enough refridgerant in the system. It ended up taking two cans from the auto parts store. Just keep filling it until it won't take anymore. The clutch on the compressor will keep cycling on and off until it gets enough, and then it will run continually, and start blowing cold air.
