What an experience
The front shocks came without the dustcover for the piston rod ( I don't know if that is normal or not ). I had to use the original ones which were 12 years old. I did not like that part. The first attempt to install the shock with the old dustcover failed, because the spacer that was pressed in the dustcover was too thick. The thread on the piston rod was not long enough to put a nut on. I had to press the washer out of the dustcover and turn it on a lathe from 3/8 of an inch to a quarter of an inch. After that the installation was a piece of cake.
