Shipping Mixup Sorrows to Delight!
I ordered this package deal for my G35 coupe. It came with both side inner and outer tie rods. I was shocked to find that my parts were coming to me individually. The customer service lady politely told me they were coming from different warehouses, so that resolved my anxiety and I realized that they didn’t have the whole package at one warehouse. But then when my inner tie rods were emailed with a status of “delivered”, I rushed home and was flabbergasted to see that they sent me a lower control arms instead! I almost blew a gasket. So when I called the customer service, I then spent almost an hour trying to explain that I wanted my inner tie rods! The first responder told me she put my order in again but had to put it in as “swap”. I’m a young college student and realtor/manager so I’m busy, and we finished our convo after I told her I couldn’t be sure if I’d be there to swap their mistake. Minutes later I called back to make sure of what day I was getting them, since I didn’t get an email verification of a second tie rod order. The second responder told me she sees it as under case review, so I explained that I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks for my order, and that I’m too busy to swap out parts because THEY made multiple mistakes. I didn’t pay to be a parts trader. They didn’t want to give them to me, and put up a fight solely because they wanted the control arm and we’re holding my inner tie rods hostage! But to them I guess they felt the same about me. But after some time I guess they understood me or were worn down, so they sent me a email verification of my inner tie rods and they let me keep the control arm. But the funny thing is,I found out after from a mechanic that they sent me the exact model control arm that goes on my car! What are the odds! Praise God, and I thank the CarParts customer service for taking responsibility for the shipping mixup. They were helpful and actual humans that I could talk to. I’m now cautious of buying from them in bulk, but the prices are great. They put up a fight but I respect it, and might buy some stock in them. My rating is a 4 out of 5, although when I was upset it was a 2 out of 5 ;)
