Bolts Easy, Backing Plate Hard
So far the hub has been performing great. My old ones were screaming on the highway, overtaking the radio and engine sounds, so I bought these puppies to replace them. Now my rear is smooth and quiet. The hardest part about replacing them was getting the old parking brake backing plate off of the old hub, which fits over the back ring of the hub. The backing plate is what the parking brake shoes and hardware connect to. I actually had to take the old hubs to my dad's so I could use his press to remove the plates. Hopefully you're lucky enough that you can either hammer them off or they're not stuck at all, but mine were locked in place from years of rust. After those are off it's smooth sailing.
