P2108 is the code that comes up when my car is analyized. It reads 'Throttle Control Module'. Is this the part I need to fix this code? The car has only 83835mi on it. The engine was replaced with a used engine with 22000 miles less than the original due to the Coolant Temperature Module failing.Paul W.Nov 22, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Paul, I'm pleased to assist you. Replacing the Throttle Position Sensor alone might not necessarily fix the P2108 code. The issue could be related to the throttle body, wiring, or the Throttle Actuator Control Module itself. Given the complexity of the throttle control system and the importance of accurate diagnostics, it's recommended to consult with a qualified mechanic or the dealership to ensure an accurate diagnosis and appropriate repair. Have a good one!

Why does the sensor appear to be adjustable with slots instead of holes for the bolts?  Do I need to adjust the position once it is replaced? Re: 2003 hyundai santa fe 3.5lScooterSep 11, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Scott, I'm pleased to assist you. The throttle position sensor (TPS) in your 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe is adjustable because it is a potentiometer-based sensor. The sensor has a variable resistor that changes resistance as the throttle plate moves. The amount of resistance is proportional to the angle of the throttle plate, and this information is used by the ECU to determine the amount of fuel to inject into the engine. The slots in the TPS sensor allow you to adjust the sensor so that it is reading the correct angle of the throttle plate. To adjust the TPS sensor, you will need to use a TPS adjustment tool. This tool will have two probes that fit into the slots in the sensor. You can then use the tool to turn the sensor until the correct reading is displayed on the scan tool. Click the link below to order while supplies last. Your order will come with a 30-day post-purchase price match guarantee. I hope this helps.
