I removed the 10 mm screw on the vvt valve on a 2011 kia soul but the valve wont budge out of the head is there a trick without breaking it ?Diana R.Oct 07, 2021
Best Answer:Hello Tom, Sometimes they don't come right out. You may need to use a pair of pliers to (carefully!) wiggle the solenoid from side to side while pulling it away from the engine.

Location of this product?OldManFeb 08, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Eugene, It'll be in front of the engine, typically near the front of the valve cover. Try looking at the new solenoid to match the shape and help you find it. The connector is the exposed end of the variable valve timing solenoid.

It fit my Hyundai Elantra just fine and appears to have fixed my engine code. Be super careful removing the old part. Mine broke off in the engine and it was an ordeal getting it out.
