I have a code p1009 on my Honda crv 2005 saying to replace the vvt pressure switch. Is this the correct part?Titus G.Oct 06, 2024
Best Answer:Hi Titus, I'm glad to assist you. No, it is not. The trouble code P1009 is not unknown with older vehicles, as the most common reason is oil sludge clogging up the oil screen and VTC actuator. The VTC actuator is responsible for adjusting the timing of your engine's intake camshaft. This adjustment allows your Honda to optimize its performance, providing better fuel efficiency, increased power, and reduced emissions. We have the variable valve timing control solenoid available. The part number is REPA380802. Grab our lowest price and click the link below to buy it today. Happy shopping! <a href="https://www.carparts.com/details/Honda/CR-V/Replacement/Variable_Timing_Solenoid/2005/LX/4_Cyl_2-dot-4L/REPA380802.html?can=cpje1043_CSQA_20241006" target="_blank">https://www.carparts.com/details/Honda/CR-V/Replacement/Variable_Timing_Solenoid/2005/LX/4_Cyl_2-dot-4L/REPA380802.html?can=cpje1043_CSQA_20241006</a>

What gear is this sensor for?Thurman B.Jul 25, 2024
Best Answer:Hi Thurman, thanks for initiating contact. The search results do not specify a particular gear, the oil pressure switch typically monitors the oil pressure within the engine, which is crucial for overall engine performance and can indirectly affect shifting in automatic transmissions. If this is what you need and your vehicle information matches this product you can use the link below to order while the part is in stock. I have a 2008 Honda Civic LX four-door and I have a code that is reading p0847 transmission pressure sensor switch b so is this the same sensor that I need ?Moises P.Oct 23, 2022
Best Answer:Hi Moises, I'm glad to assist you. It is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for "Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch “B” Circuit Low". It happens for multiple reasons, and a mechanic needs to diagnose the specific cause for this code to be triggered in your situation. We do not carry this part anymore. I hope this helps.

Where is this part located???Ingrid M.Aug 01, 2022
Best Answer:Hi Ingrid, I'm glad to assist you. The part is located at the back of the motor on the left side if you're in the front of the car which is more on the passenger side left rear position. Still, it is best to refer to a vehicle-specific service repair manual to be accurate. Grab our lowest price offer and click the link below to order today. Is this The same switch underneath the VTEC solenoid right above the Oil Filter on The Si Model? (K20z3Joshua M.Jun 05, 2022
Best Answer:Hi Joshua, I'm glad to assist you. We cannot confirm that accurately right away. This is the VTEC valve timing oil pressure switch. We do have a service repair manual, by Chilton publication (part # 30203), for your car and this should help you determine that part you are checking. A diagnostic has to run on your car to come up with a code. If this turns out to be the part that you need. Grab our sale price offer and click the two links below to order today. I hope this helps. Fixed a leak with this, If any problems come up with the switch I'll change the review but if this is still 5 stars it means it's lasting.(far cheaper than replacing the whole vtec control housing it's attached to) The color of the switch is different but everything seems to be working properly

Good price functions within ECU spec. OEM pressure switch lasted 12 years. Replaced after market vtec solenoid / pressure switch complete assembly. Pressure switch lasted 1 1/2 years. The pressure switch is the part that goes bad. Bought 2 for the low price and if unit needs replacing after 1 year warrenty is up.
