My Honda accord 2002 will shut off some times while I'm driving on the road and I'll have to wait about 10 minutes before I can start it again. The engine light went on, I checked it at Auto zone and the reading said it was the v- tec p-1259. I put a new one but it still shuts off n is saying the same thing,  to change the v- tec p-1259.   Does this soliniode timing stop my engine?JerryOct 27, 2020
Best Answer:Hi Jerry, I have checked the Pcode 1259 and it is not for the variable timing solenoid. The most common cause for Error Code P1259 or VTEC system malfunction is low oil pressure. Thus, make sure you check your oil if it's due for service. If it's in bad condition, then replace the oil pressure switch.
