Is there a video or instruction guide for how best to install the dashboard cover? our 2007 GMC Yukon's dashboard is so badly cracked across the most of the length of dash to the edge by the steering column that it hangs loosely and rattles while driving. Do I need to secure the loose sections somehow to properly adhere the cover to the full surface area? Are the trim panel tools that show on this site as recommended actually needed (vs. only needing the silicone adhesive that comes with the cover? One reviewer noted using a heat gun to solve an issue to correct some dimples. Is having a heat gun available during the installation recommended?ShaneFeb 03, 2021

This part is guaranteed to fit the 2007 GMC Yukon Denali, SLE, and SLT All Engines. With the present condition of the dash, it would be best to secure all the loose sections before installing this part. A heat gun would help depending on how the dash cap was installed. There would be installation instructions on the package.
The dash cover should fit snugly over the entire dash. Practice putting it in place for later when you'll do this with silicone on the cover. Clean the underside of your dash cover. Align and secure it with tape, weights, and wedges (placed between your windshield and dash cover). Apply the silicone provided in your kit to the underside of the dash cover.

I ordered a dash cover for my 2010 GMC 2500 pick up and when I received the dash cover the color didn’t match. I ordered cashmere and the one I got looked more gray than cashmere ( tan ). I called customer service and they were extremely helpful and polite. I explained my situation and they sent me a replacement at no cost. When I received the replacement it was exactly the same color as the first one they sent. I’m not completely satisfied but I’m going to install it anyway and just live with the slight difference in color. By the way, Carparts emailed me and said I didn’t have to return the first dash cover they sent, which made things easier for me and I appreciate that very much.
