What is the name of the lower hose on this 2001 mercury sable coolant reservior?Jon T.Oct 19, 2021
Best Answer:Hello! The large hose would simply be called a coolant reservoir hose, as opposed to the small reservoir vent hose.

Customer Reviews

The female electrical connector on the replacement reservoir had a nib (raised portion) inside its plug that prevented the male connector on the vehicle wiring harness from being properly seated. The offending nib had to be removed (cut out) in order to make a good connection.

Oe Solutions Series Coolant Reservoir
taurus ses 2001 expansion tank
The old tank was completely cracked, it was losing fluid and the engine belt was squealing constantly. Installing this tank the hoses were different but I re-routed one hose and it is working perfectly.
Purchased on Mar 03, 2009
The part body fit well, the sensor connection was difficult to connect because of burrs on the casting.
